Happy Halloween!!!
The last halloween I had was in Australia… Back then, celebration was boozing and partying, and that’s a typical celebration by the people there… But being someone who do not fancy boozing (1g of alcohol is 7kCal!!), it was more of a peaceful affair… haha… but nonetheless, the company then was great too…
Back to Halloween now, 2009… I am still at home… HAH… actually, I just came back from the Mister’s place… he is having his RT right now… so its gonna be a boring 3 to 4 hours before we meet up again… so here I am, trying to oil my rusty fingers and blogging skills… truly, its been quite sometime that I did manage to settle down to pen something… but once you lack the practice, it does take a bit more effort to think about worthwhile stuff to blog…
Since I’m speaking about the Mister, I guess I’ll just do a little update of him then… he received his brand new phone last night… Sony Ericsson Satio… Yeah, its pretty cool actually, a touchtype phone with 12.1 mp camera to boot… I’m green with envy!!! =.=… haha, but it pays to be patient… cos I’ll be getting my new hp soon… in two weeks time!!! And with compliments from the Mister of course, =)…

I have this habit of selecting meaningful songs that suit different stages of my life... most often, I tend to keep a lookout for songa that comes with beautiful lyrics, and most importantly, can be associated with how I feel... so yeah, I did accumulate quite a bank of songs... and I'm sure that I am not alone in this....
Songs are very powerful and emotional tools that can be used to express our feelings... so with the previous Mister (whom I almost got married to but I backed off later) I did accumulate many songs, including wedding songs that I feel would be most suitable for us...
With the current Mister, things are a bit different... in fact, he started this music sharing thingy whereby my main task would be to source out these songs... good thing is that we share a common liking for most songs... anyway, before I digress further, I recently took a listen to the songs I'd liked in my younger days, and to my pleasant surprise, I kinda found one song that could possibly be a good theme song for the current Mister and I...
I used to adore Michael Learns to Rock (MLTR), and this particular strikes a cord with me, so much so that it will definitely top my wedding playlist....

Having a bit of free time before my invigilation... so here I am, since its been a while since I wrote a 'decent' post.
I've been thinking a lot recent months... it could be due to old age, or a long bout of 'homesickness' for the land of Oz... this period last year, had been a very fruitful one for me... cos this was the period of time when the Mister decide to spring me a surprise by taking 20 days off to visit me in Gong... it was a birthday surprise as well, so even though I was really caught up with my chemistry experiments and reports, it was a welcome break for me... in fact, I think that he is the one at losing end, since we practically do not have much things in gong, and a typical school day for me would last till 5 or 6pm, depending on the time I spend in my laboratory... but this year, things are gonna be different... for one, the day that my mum worked the hardest (more than 10 hours of labour) falls on a weekday... and the biggest catch? I'll need to attend meeting then...
But if there's any consolation, we will be making up for this day during the Sept break (which is coming REAL SOON!!!) by going for a short trip to Bintan... I'm so looking fwd to that!!! But first, I will need to get pass this week... its the Mister's sister's big 21 bday... so this weekend will be filled with lots of binge-ing and stuff... and check out my pressie for her, the birthday cake!!!

Been caught up with work recently, especially this semester... its been neverending marking, and social issues to boot... so yeah, guess this little corner shall be neglected for now... maintaining 3 blogs just ain't feasible now... so its gonna be *blank* till end of sept at least....

Missing Spring Time

Last year, this period, was my favourite season of the year... in Australia, that is.... being a place down under, Australia experience a season that is one of its kind... so during this period of Summer/Autumn for other parts of the world, its land is just awakening to the call of spring after a long Winter's slumber...
Spring is indeed the nicer part of the season in Aust, so is its Autumn... where the weather is neither too cold nor wet, and the ocean is icy cool... so its always nice to take a stroll along the beach, and savour the panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean while sipping my favourite cuppa mocha with the dessert of the day...
So yeah, that pic is of one of the places I used to frequent in Aust... Its Bond beach, Sydney... a place where surfer dudes and bikini babes frequent... but trust me, it ain't that fun to dip into the water despite the sunny outlook... water is really freezing cold, but once you get used to the temp, its really fun though.... =)

Stefanie Sun's Concert - The answer is...

Last night, I went to attend Stefanie Sun's concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The Mister is a fan of hers. From CDs to concert, he had never missed any of these... so yeah, this concert was no exception. Did I mention that we had a good view of his idol too? Yeah, he bought premier seats; that alone amounted to quite a bit... but I suppose for a fan, its but a small price to pay.
It was a nice concert, I have to say... even though I have not heard quite a few of the songs that were belted out, it was a great experience for me nonetheless... one thing's for sure, I'm starting to appreciate chinese songs once again... the last time I'd heard chinese songs with my own initiative, was back when I was in sec. sch... and boy, was that a long time ago!!!
